Washington County Animal Shelter boutique to open for guests on March 5
JOHNSON CITY, TN (March 4, 2021) – The Mall at Johnson City welcomes Rescue Me as the newest addition to the town center’s diverse selection of options for guests. Rescue Me is a satellite adoption center for the Washington County TN Animal Shelter. Rescue Me will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce on Friday, March 5 at 11 a.m. on the lower level next to the Belk Women’s Store.
“The Mall at Johnson City is thrilled to partner with the Washington County TN Animal Shelter and our newest tenant Rescue Me,” said Ashley Grindstaff, General Manager, The Mall at Johnson City. “Rescue Me offers a welcoming environment for our guests to support and adopt rescued animals within our community.”
Rescue Me held a soft opening Valentine’s Day weekend and adopted out 40 cats and kittens, nearly emptying all the cages. In addition to adoptions, Rescue Me offers apparel and merchandise to fund the space and shelter.
Rescue Me requires the use of hand sanitizer prior to entry and limits the number of people in the space. Rescue Me is dedicated to providing a safe, clean experience for all guests during the pandemic and beyond. Rescue Me will be open for guests Thursday and Friday 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The Mall at Johnson City remains focused on providing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. In the continued need to address COVID-19, the town center has proactively implemented additions to the Code of Conduct, effective until further notice.
These additions include the following guidelines:
The Mall at Johnson City’s already rigorous disinfectant and cleaning practices will also continue many times per day, including periodically disinfecting areas most susceptible to the spread of germs. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer dispensers are located in highly-trafficked areas and walkways for public use.
The Mall at Johnson City’s newest goodwill tenant, Rescue Me, will enhance the town center’s variety of notable retail locations to offer guests the most dynamic shopping experience. This is just one example of The Mall at Johnson City’s ongoing commitment to creating a true town center where community members can safely shop, dine, and connect.
